Edgar Allan Poe on the big Screen…

From the blog – My Ethereality

Photos online show John Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe …
And a summary on imdb.com says:
A fictionalized account of the last days of Edgar Allan Poe’s life, in which the poet is in pursuit of a serial killer whose murders mirror those in the writer’s stories.
I’m wondering if this is merely an attempt to ride the coat tails… or rather waistcoat tails of Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.).

At a Comic Con panel, James McTigue (director) draws comparisons between the film’s themes and tones with Misery, Jaws and Se7en – and deals with the last five days of Poe’s life.

I can hope and pray that this will be a good film to watch… or at least have some fun looking at the pretty…
costumes, that is.
